OPEN-HOUSE

Overseas visitors to Loughborough are often lonely,

so 'OPEN-HOUSE', helps promote friendship between people of different cultures, nations, and ages

~"a place where people from overseas are loved and accepted ~

where they can make friends in a safe environment".

Situated centrally in the town, we are easy to find.
'OPEN-HOUSE' meets regularly
in the ‘Lounge’ at Emmanuel Church Centre, 43 Forest Road -
from 2 pm to 4 pm on most Sunday afternoons.
We welcome men and women of all ages, single and married, from all nations and cultures.

Serving light refreshments to students, academics and other visitors from overseas (including children),

we relax, practise our English, play board-games, share news and views etc.

We also arrange occasional quizzes, outings, meals and local walks.

We trust that 'OPEN-HOUSE' will enable better relations between people from around the world, to the mutual benefit of all.

'OPEN-HOUSE' is served by ‘friendship’ volunteers from several local Christian churches

who help to welcome newcomers, serve refreshments and generally mix-and-mingle with visitors,

extending and encouraging friendship and Christian hospitality!

As up to 40+ overseas visitors currently attend 'OPEN-HOUSE',

we are seeking more, committed, local volunteers, to help us extend our friendships

with many, many more overseas visitors to our town.

If interested to join us, please send email from here.
